    • The education emphasizes both theory and practice. Besides conforming to the school’s operation philosophy and development features, the education is to strengthen the academic training, adjust practical courses, and also guide students to do career planning to make students’ career or further education match the trend and prospect better according to national manpower demand and career orientation, and students’ future research needs.
    • The development of academic research emphasizes the integration of teachers’ and students’ research abilities, and promotes the project planning research group led by teachers. And, the final target of the college students’ project planning research led by students is to strengthen the academic research abilities to develop the department’s features.
    • "The Tang Dynasty Research Center” has been established to integrate research powers to develop the culture and literature researches of Tang Dynasty. And, “The Tang website” is built to publish research annuals and research series of Tang Dynasty to build the academic brand.

Careers
  • The future employment of students graduating from our department can be divided into five categories generally as follows:
    1. To take part in all kinds of exams: The exam of a graduate school, the national public servant exams (ordinary and senior), the educational credit program, and all kinds of exams of professional skills.
    2. To be a teacher: To participate in a selective exam of teachers, and obtain the qualification of a senior or junior high school teacher.
    3. To do the job of office duty, such as word processing, a professional secretary, or consultation, guidance and assistance.
    4. To plan for various cultural enterprises: Marketing, compilation, and interview, and dealing with the drafts of a publishing house, the mass media, and a cultural center.
    5. Professional Translation: To take the Chinese language capacity to be the foundation to learn a foreign language, and be engaged in the work of professional translation.
